Chris Claypole takes up role as ECITB council chairman

The Board of the ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board) names a member to act as chair of the council, a body which advises the Board on strategic matters and is comprised of employers, clients, trade unions and trade associations.

We are proud to announce that Stocks Group Managing Director, Chris Claypole, has been appointed to the post and will sit as Chair of the council for his first meeting on 31st October in London.

Chris said, "It is a great honour to be chosen to chair the council of the ECITB and I hope to lead this auspicious body into a new era of collaboration.”

The ECITB is the skills, standards and qualifications body for the development of the engineering construction workforce of Great Britain, investing around £25 million each year to support skills development within the industry.

The ECITB works with employers and training providers to attract, develop and qualify the engineering construction workforce in a wide range of craft, technical and professional disciplines, giving it the skills it needs to meet the challenges of the future.
